OOTN is an acronym for Outfit Of The Night. I know some of you are wondering why these millennials need an acronym for everything and anything. This is a follow up post to the one i did recently on OOTD Inspiration. For this post I want to show you how you can change your whole outfit by changing one element.
Originally in the OOTD post (read here) I wore a denim shirt and this gave the outfit a summer vibe and a more casual look and feel to the outfit. For the OOTN I decided to wear the same outfit but with a vintage corduroy blazer.
I got this blazer or jacket a couple of years back and I fell in love with it instantly. I used to pair it a lot with a pair of boat shoes that I had and this would give me prep school vibes. With my evolving and experimentation in fashion and style I have become a bit more bold and aware of different ways to try out an outfit.
I am aware that there might be a taboo or scepticism about a man showing his chest but I believe style is about expression, as I said in one of my first posts (here). And people should be free to express themselves as they want as long as they are not infringing on people’s rights.
With that being said, I paired the jacket with a low V-neck t shirt , white ripped skinny jeans and blue chukka boots for contrast. I accessorized minimally with the Classic Durham from Daniel Wellington.
The OOTN look can be worn out to a cocktail party, a dinner date , a birthday dinner or a night out in the club with your boo and friends . If you feel the outfit is a bit too much, you could always wear a white dress shirt or tshirt underneath.
When choosing what to wear at night make sure that you factor in whether it is a cold night or a warm night so that you don’t end up feeling too cold and shaking like a leaf.
