Infinix Mobility is among the most popular handset brands in Kenya and Africa, with thousands of handsets selling in different regions like Nigeria and Egypt. Infinix Kenya launched their new handset the Infinix Hot Note 3 (Infinix X601) at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya on 17th August 2016 and this was a highly welcome update of the previous model. Not to digress the company announced the entry of two new Infinix Technology pieces into the market: the X-band Smartwatch and the Noise Cancellation Headphones.
I have been using the Infinix Zero 3 for a long time now, close to a year and I have no complaints about this device, I recently got the Xband Smartwatch and I can honestly say that my life has become easier. Let me explain.
The Infinix Xband is a watch or bracelet, that monitors the owner’s movement, from counting the specific steps that the owner makes in a day to tracking how many calories have been burnt or used up at the end of the day.
The Infinix smartwatch being the first of its kind also comes with some pretty handy features like the easy to access and use touchscreen which allows you to swipe up and down to access the different modes. The screen shows you the time, date and your handset notifications, like missed calls, incoming phone calls that display the caller ID, as well as real-time notifications from synced apps like Snapchat, Instagram and text messages. All you need to do is download the Xband App from Google Playstore and sync your phone with your watch via Bluetooth.
This is the winner feature, the watch can act as a Bluetooth earpiece, YES, you can remove the piece and put it in your ear and answer or reject incoming phone calls with a simple swipe. You could also play music that has been stored on your handset, but I haven’t tried out this feature yet. The watch has 7 hours’ battery life (sometimes I charge it after two days).
The Infinix Xband works with all outfits, being a fashionista, I want a piece that blends in with what I wear, from my casual street looks to dapper outfits, the smartwatch blends in pretty well. It comes in two colours all black and gold with tan leather straps.
The price and availability of the Infinix Xband (Infinix XB01) in Kenya will be announced soon, if interested in learning more feel free to drop me an email and I can see how I can help you more information on the device.
