Most of my OOTD (Outfit of the Day) looks are based on my daily schedule. If I am mostly going to be in the office hidden away from the world, I usually wear a pair of black khaki pants or blue jeans and throw on a t-shirt. If I have a couple of meetings, I dress up based on the meeting vibe, but most days I wake up and dress as my mood suggests, which is mostly in black.

I have never been a lover of colours on me. I do selectively love colours on other people, I am still fantasizing about that monochromatic burgundy look that Adam Gallagher wore some months back on his blog. I recently got called by my shoe guy, yes I have a shoe guy that is responsible for most of the pieces I have in my collection. He let me know that there is a plimsoll that I would love, I was excited because I hadn’t bought a new pair of shoes in a while and shopping for shoes always gets me in a zone of bliss. Long story short, they were red and it took me a while to say yes, but I now love them.

Plimsolls were created in the early 1800s and were originally a canvas top attached to a rubber sole. With the advancement in fashion technology and design, diverse fabrics are used in the design, like denim, leather and even wool.

Plimsolls are one of my favourite shoe designs, because of the comfortable and versatile nature of their designs and structure. I especially love slip-on plimsolls because they are less hectic to wear or remove as compared to laced boots or chukkas.

Plimsolls had solid rubber soles about 8 or 9mm thick, to which the canvas was glued without coming up the sides (as on trainers). The effect when running was not dissimilar to running without shoes.
