Happy New Month!!! Let’s face it , staying warm usually comes with looking a bit overdressed and like you are trying to smuggle in some contraband. That is where the beauty of layering comes in. I am a believer in layering and this can be as basic as adding a hoodie or a sweater under a leather jacket.
One way to stay warm, yet functional is by wearing a light material turtle neck sweater or shirt. This can be the perfect base of any outfit , from casual looks to proper dapper wear. For this look , I decided to layer the turtle neck with a black leather and cotton bomber jacket , which adds a dash of edgy especially with the high collar and leather.
Another tip for staying warm is by investing in a lot of cardigans and sweaters. For some of my everyday #OOTD looks on my Instagram (www.instgaram.com/byfredanyona) , I wear a lot of colored sweaters, from purple to maroon and even yellow. If you’re trying out a layered look, I would recommend trying the dress shirt and sweater combo. Another way to spice up your wardrobe is by having a custom made sweater , like the Roma Designs Africa fleece sweater in the previous post.

Lastly fabric is also very important when considering what to wear. From cotton to fleece , it is important to get fabric that would be perfect for cold weather as well as a spontaneous moment of sun or heat .
