Its the first of February and people say its the month of love and the month of building new relationships and all that. I think that the whole ideology of love and Valentine’s Day is a noble one, and since I am not in a relationship i will resort to loving myself and those that are around me as much as I can. Probably build a few bridges while am at it.
For this post i did not intentionally choose to wear red or affiliate myself with the color and the whole Valentine’s day vibe , but i must say if you want to blend in among the many people that will be wearing red, this is a subtle way to do so.
Unlike what most people go for , a bold red shirt or tshirt, or a red dress for the ladies, (God forbid you decide to wear an all red outfit) , here are a couple of tricks and tips that you may want to consider before going out shopping for that dinner date , or lunch date with your partner.
Stick to a mix red color tones.
DO NOT wear an all red outfit
Break your red outfit with complimentary colors like black or white.
Don’t be boring about it. Try out checkered , striped , bleached , or a dip and dye design. This will help you stand out in a good way and not look too ‘part of the crowd’
For this shoot i decided to try out something a bit different and artsy so i worked with Amy Muhoro , creative mind behind Amy Visuals. She came up with a concept and did the photography and editing by herself and this is the beginning of a new journey in experimenting and working with different photographers and concepts.
