We all go through that everyday struggle of finding something to wear every day of the week, unless you have a uniform you are good.
If you have school, work, meetings or you are constantly out of the house, and most importantly if more than a pair of eyes get to see you, you cannot get away with wearing the same outfit twice in a row!
What to wear can be overcome by proper planning and proper planning does not involve buying many pieces of clothes, it involves styling what you have in the wardrobe creatively. That will bring us to a whole new conversation involving basics, which we will talk about soon.
For this post , most of these outfits are for the everyday street style look and inspiration.
WHAT TO WEAR | DAY 1
Chunky sweaters are perfect to keep warm and to look stylish too. When getting a chunky sweater you can pick out earthy warm colour tones and pair with denim and khakis.
Sweater- Forever 21
Blue Denim - H&M
WHAT TO WEAR | DAY 2
White and navy is a classic. The turtle neck gives your outfit a posh feel. You can style this with a zip-up sweatshirt.
Sweatshirt - Polo Ralph Lauren
Turtleneck Sweater- Woolworths Kenya
WHAT TO WEAR | DAY 3
Sometimes you have to dapper up. My quick go to look, is a simple mandarin collar, black blazer and chinos. In this case, I wore white chinos and styled it with a brown belt to break the black monotone.
Shirt- Roma Designs Africa
WHAT TO WEAR | DAY 4
This is one of my favourites. Monochromatic outfits are perfect for any occasion. Just wear the right pair of shoes and you will never go wrong.
Sweatshirt- Urban Outfitters
Jeans- Cheap Monday
WHAT TO WEAR | DAY 5
For this outfit, the main piece of clothing is the layering piece and statement accessory which in this case is the belt.
Wearing basics and then styling with a statement piece is one of the best ways to showcase style and your understanding of fashion.
Jacket - Forever 21
Vest - H&M
For some of those days when you want to go “incognito” all you need is a cap and you are good to go!
