Dashiki t-shirts are one of the easiest style items ever and I love wearing mine from time to time. On that note, I need to get a couple more for my wardrobe. Other than that I do need to upgrade my wardrobe and get a couple more items for the new half of the year. I digress, Dashiki is originally from West Africa and is usually a huge representation of African culture and style based on the cut of the silhouette the fabric and the colors.
For this post I decided to pair it up with black khakis and black plimsolls which helps tone down the look and give more emphasis to the shirt's colors and print. This look is pretty easy and does not require a lot of attention, especially because all that matters is having the bottom part of the outfit being as subtle as possible. When pairing the shirt, it is important not to match the color of the dashiki with the pants. That will look just wrong!
In another look I paired the dashiki with uber ripped jeans from Levis and the look was a bit more edgy and "out there" you can have a look HERE. What are your thoughts on the look? Which one do you prefer?
