There has been a lot of talk in the fashion industry about Jaden Smith wearing a skirt for the Louis Vuitton collection in an ad campaign. This led to the fashion world and general society go ahead and question about gender and what is what in the world. Blue is for boys and Pink is for girls, or is it White for all.
In this post i did not purposefully try to bridge or continue this whole debate about boys and girls, i just wanted to show that some items in fashion are not necessarily male or female , and we should not let definitions bar us from wearing what we want. At least if you are able to.
For this project one of my closest friends that is usually the one behind the camera agreed to feature and i think we did a good job…don’t you?
Apart from the fact that i involved her (@kagwiriandubai) on the shoot with me, I also tried something a little bit different. The scene and setting of this shoot was a mixed outdoor vibe, and apart from that, I wanted to show how one can be able to rock two outfits with one set of main clothing items. These items are some of the items I consider to be style staples. A white t-shirt and light-wash denim jeans.
