Most of us, wear underwear to keep everything protected and for some of us because we were brought up and told to always wear underwear.
I remember when I was younger I was keen on having specific colours and characters on my undies. This was especially when changing before swimming class, you would not want to be caught dead wearing pink undies or something floral, I especially loved my tidy whities.
Fast forward to my young teen days, I was introduced to the boxer shorts and these were one of the best things ever. My mum always told me to wear an extra pair of shorts inside for extra security and also to be on the safe side just in case I had a rip or something of the sort happened. It is better than walking around in your underwear she always said.
Then came my proper teenage days and I was all about boxers and briefs. These would look extremely grown especially during those truth and dare games. Plus they gave me that extra confidence boost.
Here are a couple of tips and tricks that I use when picking out my underwear for the day. The pictures below are some of my favorites from Tommy John. You can check out their underwear selection here.
Underwear for Busy Days
When my day is scheduled to have a lot of movement probably running around doing work errands, or in meetings, I prefer the Second Skin boxer brief. This keeps me all snug and “boxed” up in a good way. Plus, when I am wearing my jogger pants during workout, this kind of underwear is smooth and does not cause any extra bumps in the outer clothing.
Underwear for Chilled Out Days.
Some days, I have literally nothing to do but chill out in bed or on the sofa, watching a movie or something. I am usually in my Djellaba and I prefer wearing something a bit loose fitting and I usually go for boxer shorts. These have minimal support and provide more breathability.
Underwear for Feeling-myself kind of Days
When going out for dates, or a night out in town, I prefer wearing briefs especially in rayon material. I especially like lowrise and midrise cut. Briefs are perfect for guys who need support but don’t need the extra leg fabric. Depending on the fabric or material , these are handy in different situations, for rayon it is good to wear them once in a while , but cotton briefs can be worn every day.
